Detect and differentiate trace or visible amounts of fentanyl and heroin

Sirchie is partnering with FFI to offer the Fen-Her™ Kit for law enforcement. The Fen-Her kit is a new, safer and highly accurate kit for the presumptive identification of fentanyl, fentanyl derivatives, and heroin.

Fen-Her™ requires a very small amount of sample. The user collects a sample of suspected particle(s), residues from unopened bags or other surfaces. The detection limit for fentanyl is approximately 135 nanograms (135 billionths of a gram); the detection limit for heroin is approximately 175 nanograms. The entire sampling and analyzing procedure takes just a few minutes.

• Safer because the sample pen needs just a trace amount of material - samples can be taken from residues on paraphernalia such as spoons, pipes, and edges of plastic bags, etc.
• Accurate because color appears in different locations on a test card eliminating confusion between heroin, fentanyl & derivatives
• Separates common cutting agents and adulterants such as diphenhydramine (Benadryl™)

COLORS - fentanyl is an orange color; heroin is a purple color. If an orange color appears outside of the fentanyl zone, it isn’t fentanyl. If a purple spot appears outside the heroin zone, it isn’t heroin.

ZONES - fentanyl and heroin appear in zones. The actual position heroin and fentanyl can vary vertically. The ZONES are marked on the inside of WRAPPER to be used as a visual guide.
